We want to hear from you....
Thank you for visiting our BLOG. We appreciate your time and your feedback on our facilities and our programs. Please do not hesitate to let us know your opinions.
Keep in mind that what you type onto our BLOG will be seen by all those who visit our site. It's like having a giant grease-board, where you can make any comments you'd like.
If you have some constructive critisism for us, don't be shy. We only know if we're doing something wrong, if you tell us. If you have some words of praise, don't be shy. It's nice to hear when you're doing a good job.

Seeking a Representative for the Swimmers
Call to all swimmers. The S&T Committee is in desperate need of a representative for all Westchase swimmers. The role of this person is to help the committee better serve users of our swimming facilities. So if you or someone you know has an interest in swimming and make regular use of our facilities, please come join us at our next scheduled meeting.

Jerry--the adult swimmers aren't responding because we are FRUSTRATED. Read your own blog--5 responses to swimming questions from last year, and again no action.
3 of the 5 posts here asked for a HOT shower at the pool. We've been asking for YEARS!!!!! Then we read in WOW "Stewart also told the board that since it had been reported in last month’s WOW that the board was considering a new pool shower at the Countryway facility, residents had been calling and asking for warm water for the new shower. However, there is no water heater in the building, and it was the consensus opinion of the board that the new shower would not have warm water. The board, however, did unanimously agree to hire Drain Doctors to demolish the existing shower and install a new pool shower, using a dual head with foot shower with ADA valves, to be purchased separately by the WCA. Board approval is not required for the $450 it will cost to repair the pavers when the shower is replaced. Money for the shower will come from the Repairs and Maintenance line of the budget"
So you aren't listening....AGAIN! That's why you can't get any volunteers. HOT HOT HOT SHOWER or forget it! Open the pool earlier so adults can work out before work! Thanks.
Red, Please have a look at our latest post. We addressed some of the issues you raised during our January meeting.
I have a different type of swimming concern. The pool was closed today, 20 minutes into the 2 hour practice for the Westchase Swim Team Age Group program due to a child vomitting at the edge of the pool. I would like to recommend posting a sign to pool users that peeing, pooping or vomitting in the pool closes the pool for 24 hours. Also add a reminder that those types of mishaps result in the non-use of the pool to others, especially those who have paid fees to swim in the Westchase Swim Team Program. Some of these swimmers are preparing themselves for competitions and those mishaps in addition to the closures created by the Florida weather affect their practices. I don't think that the casual pool users realize their impact, especially those with very young children. I am concerned that the amount of pool closures may cause some swimmers to seek other places to swim which would affect the success of the Westchase Swim team program. So please help remind pool users to be aware of the policy regarding body secretions in the pool. Thank you.
